Rangashila Sthan, Phaltan (रंगशिळा वेदाध्ययन स्थान, फलटण)
![]() |
Rangashila Sthan / Ranganaath Temple |
This temple is near to Abasaheb temple at Phaltan. Earlier there was a Ranganaath Temple at this place, where Chakarapani Pabhu used to come regularly with his mother during his childhood. At this place there was a round shaped large stone (Shila) and Shri Chakrapani Prabhu used to study "Veda" by sitting on this shila which is called as "Rangashila".
After few years due to some reason, this Rangashila got broken in to five parts. One of those five parts was established in this temple and other one part was placed in the Abasaheb temple. This is Charanankit Sthan [चरणांकित स्थान] of Shri Chakarapani Maharaj.
Address:
City: Phaltan
District : Satara
State: Maharashtra (India)
[Phaltan is about 110 KM from Pune on Pune-Pandharpur Road. It is bout 59 Km from the district place Satara.]

Shri Sarvatirtha Temple, Riddhapur (श्री सर्वतीर्थ मंदिर, रिद्धपूर)
Shri Sarva Tirtha Temple is at back side of the Raaj Math (राज मठ) temple at Riddhapur. This is not the charanankit stan, but this is a mandalik sthan.
It is said that there is a story behind the name SARVATIRTHA (सर्वतीर्थ). In 13th century, there was a saint Sant Rajbas who used to have food only after visiting all the sthans of Riddhapur. But later at old age, it was taking 3 to 4 days for them to visit all the stans of Riddhapur. So then he started taking food after the gap of 3-4 days only after visiting all the stans. So Shri Prabhuji told him in dream to collect the vishesha's of all the sthans at Riddhapur and place them together. In the same way Sant Rajbas collected the vishesha's of all the sthans of Riddhapur and placed them together at this place. As vishesha's from all the sthans at Riddhapur are placed here, hence this sthan is called as Sarvatirtha sthan.
